HOW IT WORKS

Odyssey Sailing’s founder and Skipper, Tom, takes his guests through the entire process, from receiving an enquiry through to his inbox, all the way through to actually Skippering the charter for you. This allows for a high level of personalisation, which we believe is essential for creating the perfect charter for our guests.

 

We begin with the dates - all of our charters run from a Saturday to Friday, so once you’ve managed to nail down a week that works for you and your friends and family, the next step is choosing your vessel..

 

We can offer both monohull Yachts and Catamarans, both of which have their own pro’s and con’s, and depend mainly on our guests’ budget, number of guests, and whether they are looking for that more “authentic” sailing experience for example. Please check out our “Boats” page for more details.

 

With each vessel type, we break the fleet up into three tiers to make things a bit simpler: Standard, Premier and Premier Plus.

 

This allows us to delineate between our standard vessels, which are of course lovely and everything one would need for a fantastic sailing holiday, and the higher tier vessels with extra mod cons like air conditioning, extra and/or larger guests cabins and bathrooms (heads!) as well as some other cool features like fly decks, and sun lounging areas.

 

Whilst this amount of choice can often seem daunting at first, we believe that options are always a good thing, and will talk you through each vessel and its key features.

 

What doesn’t change of course is the overall experience and service that you will receive from us - we will be visiting the same destinations, eating the same great food and watching the same beautiful sunsets whichever vessel you choose.

 

Once you have decided on the week and the vessel, we will then collect 30% of the charter price upfront as a deposit to secure the booking, the remainder of which will not be due until ten weeks before your charter begins.

 

Then we can begin the fun stuff, like getting to know you a bit better and planning an itinerary that you’ll love!
